It’s a great area.”ĭisney’s Flamingo Crossings borders the property to the north and west with a cluster of hotels, a 20,000 square-foot shopping center that continues to attract new tenants and more than 2,600 student apartments for Disney’s college program. But to be there in the mix of all the activity across the village, it’s definitely a prime piece of property. “There’s not much else available and Disney rarely sells. “This is the only non-Disney-owned piece of property in this entire area,” Kay said. What is clear is that while this project proposal submitted to Orange County this week is separate from what Disney is doing with its Flamingo Crossings mixed-use development, NHI sees the surrounding activity as an opportunity to thrive. “We haven’t figured that out yet,” NGI developer Haresh Karamchandani, better known as Harry Kay, told GrowthSpotter. It’s not yet known what brand name would appear on the hotel. The 6.6-acre parcel at 13350 Hartzog Rd, located in Winter Garden just beyond the western gate of Disney World’s theme parks, is owned by Orlando-based Holiday Inn Club Vacations, which has two resorts in the Orlando area. We will definitely be back.Orlando-based developer and property manager NGI Investments is looking to bring a 200-room hotel, along with a mix of retailers and restaurants, to a sliver of property that abuts the 450-acre Disney-owned mega-development hub known as Flamingo Crossings. Location is excellent, it is close to Disney, and since it is on the west side of Disney it doesn't have a ton of traffic. The hotel is decorated beautifully, very modern and neutral colors. The staff kept the breakfast buffet and dining area spotless, and they were congenial and helpful. Breakfast was fairly typical for this type of hotel, although they did have plant based sausage as an extra choice, which I have not seen at other RI's, and I was really happy to have that option. All of the staff at the hotel were great. People talk about Pixie Dust at Disney, and for us the Pixie Dust happened at this hotel. My husband and I both thought it was so creative and thoughtful, it goes down as one of our favorite anniversaries ever. The staff all signed an anniversary card wishing us a happy anniversary and gifted us a small treat. I mentioned to a staff member that it was our anniversary, and he went above and beyond. We did a quick getaway to Disney for our anniversary and chose to stay here for the proximity to Disney. Will definitely be back! …įantastic stay! We LOVED this hotel. We’ve stayed numerous times at a sister Marriott property in this area, but after this stay we have a new favourite. That said, it was never over crowded during our almost 3 week stay, and we used it almost every night. The pool is lovely - though smaller than expected for the size of the hotel. It was busy and that’s understandable after a rush. Had to hunt down staff to get forks - but no big deal. The only issue with breakfast was a lack of cutlery near the end of the breakfast period. My kids particularly enjoyed make-your-own Mickey waffles. The included breakfast was plentiful with something for everyone. The staff are friendly and helpful all around. A few minor issues with not replenishing toiletries were noted but immediately resolved with a service request in the Bonvoy app so can’t complain there. Housekeeping was excellent! We were pleasantly surprised that it was available daily, though we did elect to skip days as we didn’t always need it. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite which was very spacious, and enjoyed the convenience of an in-suite kitchen.

It’s impeccably clean in common areas and rooms. This hotel is quite new, with bright modern decor, lots of natural light.
